I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care I received at your hospital recently for a broken wrist. From the moment I arrived, the entire staff was professional, courteous, and attentive to my needs. In particular, I would like to commend Dr. Kyriacou for the outstanding care he provided. Dr. Kyriacou not only performed a successful surgery but also took the time to explain the procedure thoroughly throughout the process. His clear explanations and professionalism put me at ease during a stressful time. The entire experience at your hospital, from the emergency room staff to the nurses and therapists, was exceptional. While the care itself was exceptional, there is one area where I believe improvement could be made: appointment scheduling. Unfortunately, I encountered several mix-ups with appointment times and a lack of follow-up for subsequent appointments from the Admin team. This resulted in a significant amount of time spent on the phone trying to get things straightened out.

A very attentive nurse completed her check before I was seen by Dr Aslam. I was seen on time and Dr Aslam explained in great detail my diagnosis of Crohn’s disease. After several years of being admitted into hospital, having a failed pill cam and colonoscopy I was undiagnosed. My previous consultant left and I was transferred to Dr Aslam. Dr Aslam didn’t waste any time arranging blood tests, stool samples and arranged a pill cam which confirmed a Crohn’s diagnosis. In so grateful to her and now finally receiving treatment. I am so relieved now and this is all thanks to dr Aslam in her speedy response. Please can my appreciation be forwarded on to her.

Absolutely nothing regards to my appointment on 23rd April however I was advised I would be see. In three months after diagnosis and the earliest appointment is 12th November which is when I’m due to be seen by Dr Aslam.

The pre appointment checks and the consultation were both excellent, however my appointment was nearly 2 hours late.

On arrival the receptionist directed to the wrong place which led to a delay in a nurse carrying out the pre appointment tests. Dr Johns was excellent. He listened to me and explained everything well. I felt that I was in safe hands.

Everything was great when I got seen, but for every appointment I was told I would get, I had to ring up to half a dozen times to actually be given a time. Apart from my very first appointment which was sent to me, I arranged all the others. I am unable to give a service anything but poor where doctors have no idea of what’s going on in reality. They say “I want to see you in two weeks, you’ll be sent an appointment.” You aren’t, and if I hadn’t rung myself I wouldn’t have been seen ever again. I just feel for the patients who aren’t in a position to ‘hustle’ - it’s hard work and not possible for all.

Actually make the link between doctors and appointment makers work. Someone please explain to the poor doctors, who don’t have a clue, that patients aren’t being sent times and have to keep ringing and ringing for cancellations etc.
